Custom Drip-Edges Without The Need to Replace Existing Drip-Edges
Designed to Maximize Gutter Systems and Eliminate Common Waterflow Problems
New Look's Renovations "Drip-Over-Drip Edges" are a made from length of 1.5 inch wide aluminum machine bent to producing a 3/4 inch by 3/4 inch angled drip-edge. These drip-edges are then be installed behind the existing drip-edge creating a channel or shelf which directs "water that would normally flow down and drip behind the gutter," into the gutter - maximizing gutter system performance while adding the additional benefits of preventative measures to insure against possible future damages to roofs, walls and even foundations. Essentially making it a drip-edge "over" a drip-edge while moving water "over" into the gutters (aka: drip-over) because the original existing drip-edge would be on-top of or over our added drip-edge which comes from behind, out and over the gutter away from the structures exterior.
Our Drip-Over-Drip Edges Can Be Used with Existing Gutter Systems
New Look's has been creating these edges and providing them for years to our customers often when installing new seamless gutters. That doesn't mean they can only be installed to work with new seamless gutters! Drip-Over-Drip Edges can be installed and used with any type of gutter system to improve and maximize overall system performance; Diverting more water away from walls and foundations that wouldn't normally occur.
Why Not Just Replace Existing Drip Edge?
If it's not broken or doesn't really need to be replaced it would be inadvisable to take on or have your existing drip-edge replaced. Replacing drip-edge (especially if it is not done properly) can lead to shingle and roofing failure that can cause a lot of damage as well as promote rot in roof eves, edges, fascia board and soffits, sometimes even worse; making for costly future repairs. It's never a good idea to mess with the edge of a roof unless it's absolutely necessary, disturbing these areas breakup years of settling and once disturbed will never settle back to it's previous form. In general this can be an expensive job to do it right as there are a lot of variables to consider.
In steps "Drip-Over-Drip" Edges; a quick, easier to install drip-edge attachment that increases both the existing drip-edges performance and maximizes waterflow into the gutters and away from exterior walls and foundations without disturbing any roofing layers overtop of the pre-existing drip-edge.
Instead of replacing, have your drip-edges "upgraded" with Drip-Over-Drip Edges.
